Working with Joe has been awesome, marked by high-quality work and a constant commitment to creating a unique identity. Their listening skills and attention to detail have made all the difference. Today, we have a strong brand image, and people take us seriously. The feedback has been very positive, and we are very happy with it. We would definitely recommend working with Joe, because the work is well done.
Since they started, I've been helping CAOS.808, an electropunk perreo technocumbiero band with a French touch, build and maintain their visual identity. Their name, inspired by the electronic rhythms of the legendary Roland TR-808, served as the starting point for designing a logo that reflects their unique energy: a bold blend of 80s nostalgia and modernity.
For this project, I drew inspiration from the pixelated graphics of the 1980s and the arte chicha, typical of cumbia to create a maximalist and exciting visual identity. The logo, stylized and surrounded by repetitive geometric patterns, evokes both traditional textiles and a digital aesthetic. The neon colors and bold shapes make it instantly recognizable, perfect for representing their hybrid musical universe.
This ongoing collaboration has given rise to a strong identity, praised by the group and their audience. The artworks of the singles (“Automatique,” “Insurgencia,” “Arde Mami”) and advertising materials (such as the press kit in the form of a fold-out leaflet with holographic floppy disks) extend this aesthetic, blending nostalgia and innovation.
Beyond the logo, I continue to assist them with their communication needs, adapting and enriching their identity as their projects evolve. It's a creative adventure where every element—from single covers to promotional tools—is designed to capture the band's energy and convey it with impact. It's proof that design can both faithfully reflect their music and boost their visibility.
